Sir Issac Newton (an alchemist), Babbage (founded a paranormal research society), Madame Curie (died of radiation poisoning due to her life’s work), Galileo (put on house arrest for his ideas about heliocentrism), and Nikola Tesla (believed the energy in the air could power the world) are a few who knew there was more to the world than the one small piece that a single discipline can cover.

Likewise we have “the masters” of art like DaVinci (who had a doctor’s level understanding of anatomy & physiology), Michelangelo, Bernini, and others who blended art, architecture, sculptures, Faith, and a deep understanding of “the world as it is.”

The world is not in your cubicle, and “TPS reports” should not be the pinnacle of the Human Experience.

It seems people may be starting to understand that, and that a rabid curiosity about the world and how things work is an important part of making it a better place for all.

Let’s start with a lesson about Sir William Marshal:

Macro takeaways/lessons for the week:
-Progressives have been threatening to do the very thing that they spent 4 years trying to convince the US public was the very worst thing that could ever be done. Let’s hope that sanity prevails for them - but if it doesn’t, it will likely be the final nail in their trust from the populace, given the election’s results.

-A Canadian “clap back” is threatening to taking the worst-run US states off of our hands and into their own Shitshow that Ms. Trudeau has created. I guess Canadians are too nice to know what a proper threat is made of.

-Currencies can be the “canary in the coal mine” if you know what you’re looking at and pay attention to them. These canaries are coughing already.

Implications:
There are several aspects of the NYE attack and event that are extremely worrisome and troubling, from my perspective. I’m not going to bullshit you and pretend that I “know” anything before I can assign it a very high level of probability - and right now there is nothing that comes close to fitting that bill.

The catcalls and external narratives that I’ve seen emerge are troubling in themselves; whether those were planned or simply grifting disunion-makers is yet to be seen. I don’t think it will be too long before we see someone evolving those narratives to call for yet another war, either.

The Weekly Read (Monday):
Strange as it is that it was totally unplanned, I finished my front-to-back reading of The Bible on 12/30, and moved into JFK and The Unspeakable the next day.

It’s a hefty book, and from where I am it is already enlightening. There is a part of me that feels it will be a good “foundation” for what we may see in the upcoming year, post-January 20. I have my suspicions for why the JFK Files have been withheld from the public for so long - illegally, based on a law passed by Congress - but we’ll see.

It’s not a “JFK conspiracy” book as one might imagine one, and is filled with historical aspects of the time that are good to remember. For instance, it taught me last night about when/how/why the NSC was formed, which was strangely pertinent given the thread by Joshua Steinman that I saw today.

It’s one that combines Faith (from the man who coined the phrase The Unspeakable, a Priest), Cold War history, pre-war history, and quite a few elements of JFK’s life that you may not know about.

I may add more insights as we go along, but it’s certainly on my “would recommend” list already.

Telegram | DID YOU KNOW?

What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels have become popular with on-the-ground journalists, aid workers and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who broadcasts on a Telegram channel. The channels can be followed by an unlimited number of people. Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm. Telegram does offer end-to-end encrypted communications through Secret Chats, but this is not the default setting. Standard conversations use the MTProto method, enabling server-client encryption but with them stored on the server for ease-of-access. This makes using Telegram across multiple devices simple, but also means that the regular Telegram chats you’re having with folks are not as secure as you may believe. However, the perpetrators of such frauds are now adopting new methods and technologies to defraud the investors. On Feb. 27, however, he admitted from his Russian-language account that "Telegram channels are increasingly becoming a source of unverified information related to Ukrainian events." Stocks closed in the red Friday as investors weighed upbeat remarks from Russian President Vladimir Putin about diplomatic discussions with Ukraine against a weaker-than-expected print on U.S. consumer sentiment.
