Фома Тимофеев возглавлял группу русской эмигрантской молодежи и входил в состав подпольной антигитлеровской организации «Берлинский комитет ВКП (б)». 30 июня 1943 он был арестован гестапо, приговорен к смертной казни, но затем отправлен в концлагерь Эбензее (филиал Маутхаузена), где погиб во время восстания заключенных 1 мая 1945. Ему шел 22-й год.
