برخی منابع غیررسمی از وقوع یک انفجار مهیب در جاده ساوه خبر دادند. طبق ویدیوهایی که یکشنبه هشتم تیرماه ۱۴۰۴ در شبکه‌های اجتماعی منتشر شد، در حوالی اتوبان تهران- ساوه دست‌کم صدای یک انفجار مهیب به گوش رسید و از برخی تأسیسات نظامی دود غلیظ برخاست. گفته شد این رویداد مرتبط با انفجار در تأسیسات «شهرک صنعتی فیروزبام» است.
