Для чего именно планируется использовать «Валдаи» в документации не указано. Само судно предназначено для скоростной перевозки пассажиров в светлое время суток. Его максимальная автономность — 13 часов. Уместиться на борту могут 45 человек.
Вероятно, «Валдаи» будут курсировать до Саратова. По крайней мере наладить речное сообщение между двумя городами неоднократно обещал спикер Госдумы Вячеслав Володин. К слову, первое такое судно для Саратова уже собрали.
