یوآف گالانت، وزیر دفاع پیشین اسرائیل، در گفت‌وگویی تلویزیونی خواستار آمادگی فوری برای دور بعدی رویارویی با جمهوری اسلامی شد و هشدار داد: «آن روز فرا خواهد رسید و متفاوت خواهد بود.»
گالانت تاکید کرد که اسرائیل با وجود موفقیت‌های اخیر علیه جمهوری اسلامی نباید خود را بی‌نیاز از آماده‌سازی بداند و افزود: «شاید زمان ببرد اما ایران دوباره بخشی از توان خود را بازسازی خواهد کرد. آنها هم‌اکنون بر ساخت موشک‌های بالستیک کار می‌کنند. باید آماده باشیم و دور بعدی متفاوت خواهد بود.»
گالانت هشدار داد جمهوری اسلامی همچنان به دنبال دستیابی به سلاح هسته‌ای است و افزود: «این هدف برای آنها جذاب‌ترین گزینه است اما در عین حال خطرناک‌ترین، چون در برابر اسرائیل آسیب‌پذیر خواهند بود.»
