Депутаты свердловского заксобрания 19 апреля признали утратившим силу региональный закон, который позволял жителям досрочно прекращать полномочия главы региона.
Закон был принят более 10 лет назад, однако теперь он не соответствует нормам федерального законодательства. В рамках принятого федерального закона «Об общих принципах организации публичной власти в субъектах РФ», процедура, позволяющая гражданам инициировать отставку губернатора, не предусматривается.
