سر الإجابة يوم عرفة في "الافتقار"، فيه يُباهي الله عز وجل بالمُفتقرين وحدهم.. واجب العبد الافتقار وحقّ الربّ الافتخار.
وإن من أهل الجنة من أصبح يتقلب في المعاصي فأمسى وقد فُتح له بالطاعة من أبعد الأبواب.. وإن من أهل الفرَج من نام يتقلب في الهموم فأصبح وقد صُرفت عنه بأهون الأسباب.
قليل من الأسباب وكثير من الدعاء = كثير من الستر والرزق والهُدى والرحمة والفَرَج وحُسن الخاتمة! قال ابن تيمية: "والدعاء من الأسباب التي يُنال بها هُداه ونصرَه ورزقَه، فإذا قُدّر للعبد خيرًا ينالُهُ بالدعاء؛ لم يحصُل له بدون الدعاء".
يقول سُفيان بن عُيينة: "لا يمنعنّ أحدَكم من الدعاء ما يعلمُه من نفسه، فإن اللّه تعالى أجاب شر المخلوقين إبليس لما قال: "أنْظِرني إلى يوم يُبعثون""!
