🇷🇺 On February 22, at the Russian House in New Delhi,
DCM & Minister Counsellor of the Russian Embassy in India Roman Babushkin took part in a creative gathering dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day.
🖼 The programme included an exhibition of photographs "We Accuse" collected by Russian Foreign Ministry’s Ambassador-at-Large on the Kiev Regime’s War Crimes Rodion Miroshnik and correspondents of TASS and "RIA Novosti" news agencies, as well as an exposition of works by Indian sketch artist Nishant Kumar Meena.
📹 Indian students recited Russian poems on military and patriotic themes. A documentary "Volunteers for Victory" by the RT Doc TV channel was screened. A band of the students of the Russian Embassy’s school delivered a musical performance.
👥 The event aroused great interest. It was attended by representatives of the Indian public, academic circles and the media, compatriots.
💬 In his address to the audience, Roman Babushkin underscored the enduring respect in Russia for the heroes of the past and present, which enhances the connection between the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland, both celebrated in 2025, as well as the goals, objectives and values advocated by our country in the context of the Special Military Operation in Ukraine.
🤝 He stressed the importance of preserving historical memory and passing it on to future generations. Against the backdrop of the 25th anniversary of the Russian-Indian strategic partnership, the diplomat pointed to the strength of trusting bilateral relations that were formed on the basis of the principles of sovereign equality of states and mutual respect formulated following the Second World War.
