پیرو درخواست تعداد زیادی از دانشجویان مبنی بر بازگشایی خوابگاههای دانشجویی، شورای صنفی موضوع را با مدیر امور خوابگاه‌ها مطرح کرده و ایشان گفتند: «در جلسه هفته‌ی گذشته شورای دانشگاه بر مبنای ادامه‌دار بودن جنگ، تصمیم تعطیلی دانشگاه و خوابگاههای دانشجویی اتخاذ شده است. و اکنون تصمیم بازگشایی خوابگاه‌ها می‌بایست مجددا در شورای دانشگاه مصوب شود و اتخاذ این تصمیم با اداره خوابگاه نیست.»
لذا بازگشایی خوابگاه‌ها در جلسه هفته آتی در شورای دانشگاه پیگیری خواهد شد و شورای صنفی اکنون پیگیر برگزاری هرچه سریع‌تر این جلسه در روزهای ابتدایی هفته آتی است.
