حين بدأنا الثورة ٢٠١١م؛ كنّا نملك الإرادة والإيمان وعدالة القضية ورصيد الذكريات (= الذاكرة التاريخية)، دون امتلاك القدرة والمقوّمات بمعناها المادي، وكان فارق المقوّمات كبيراً بيننا وبين عدوّنا وحلفائه المتوقّعين.. فلما توقّدت الإرادة بصدقٍ وإيمان، جاء الله بالمقوّمات، وهدانا للأخذ بأسبابها..
لم نيأس ولم نستسلم، ولم تنهزم نفوسنا حتى أثناء الانكسار عسكرياً، وكانت دمشق دوماً نشيدَنا، حتى وصلناها بعد كل تلك العقبات والتحديات والتضحيات، ولم يكن طريقها قصيراً ولا سهلاً، ولم تكن معركة الأحد عشر يوماً سوى الجولة النهائية في معركةٍ دامت أربعة عشر عاماً..
