Девятиэтажный дом строился по модифицированному типовому проекту 1-528КП-41. Часть здания имеет три нежилых этажа — там расположена библиотека. На углу с Бухарестской улицей дом «поворачивает» примерно на 135 градусов. Автор проекта — архитектор Даниил Пейсин.
