Продолжительная болезнь не позволила доброму пастырю совершать дальнейшие труды на Ниве Христовой. Но его самоотверженное многолетнее служение оставило глубокий след в душах людей, в разное время соприкасавшихся с новопреставленным отцом Александром.
Мы, его одноклассники по Московской духовной семинарии, храним в своих сердцах благодарную память о преданном друге, разделявшем трудности семинарского быта и учебы. Тогда еще совсем молодой человек, он вдохновлял многих из нас ответственным несением послушаний, честным и совестливым трудом, доброй улыбкой и мудрым словом.
Светлый образ дорогого отца Александра мы пронесем в своих молитвах через годы, которые отведет нам на земном поприще Пастыреначальник Христос.

The news of the passing of the assistant rector of the Churches of Christ the Savior in Wellington and the Resurrection of Christ in Auckland, rector of the mission of Saint Nectarios in Tauranga, Archpriest Alexander Skorik, resonated with pain in our hearts.
We, his classmates from the Moscow Theological Seminary, keep in our hearts a grateful memory of a devoted friend who shared the hardships of seminary life and study. Then still a very young man, he inspired many of us with responsible fulfillment of duties, honest and conscientious work, a kind smile, and wise words.
We will carry the bright image of dear Father Alexander in our prayers through the years that the Chief Shepherd Christ grants us on this earthly path.
In these sorrowful days, we sincerely offer our condolences to Father Alexander’s wife, his relatives and close ones, and all those who mourn the loss with their hearts.
May the Merciful Lord rest the soul of His faithful servant in the Heavenly Abodes, where there is no pain, no sorrow, no sighing, but eternal life.

What a load of garbage! In reality the diocese has provided ZERO assistance to the victims - not even provided basic support such as psychologists, councillors or even pastoral care!

❗️The Australian and New Zealand Diocese claims "it has not been indifferent" towards the Russia - Ukraine conflict calling upon the "pacification of malice of adversaries".
What kind of cryptic watered down weak garbage is this?
How hard is it to say something alone the lines of:
"We support the righteous fight of Russia in defending Orthodoxy against the goddless nazi Zelensky regime. We pray for Russia's victory and stand with Russia, her army and her people."
⚡️THE DIOCESE IS SO WEAK. PICK A SIDE! Russian patriotism should be supported and facilitated in the diocese. The diocese should be supporting those Russian youth in the community who have the fortitude and courage to actually campaign for and defend Russia during the SMO.
This statement looks suspiciously like it was written by Fr. Gabriel Makarov:
- praises the work of the ecclesiastical court (Fr. Gabriel is a member).
- praises the work for the Diocesan Council (Fr Gabriel is a member).
- notes the St. Nicholas Church in Brisbane as holding a noteworthy event this year (Fr Gabriel is the parish priest).
Basically this Diocesan communique is all about praising themselves, pretending they are doing a good job supporting the victims of church abuse and pretending they care about the conflict.
We see right though this Fr. Gabriel. You ain't fooling anyone..
PS. Russia is NOT an adversary with malice. Russia is protecting Orthodoxy with the Special Military Operation. The brave Russian men who are fighting and dying against the godless Zelensky-NATO alliance are not malicious. They are selfless. They are heroes. They are defenders of Holy Russia!
Get that through your thick heads at the diocese. Just say it "Russia is righteous, Russia will win, Zelensky is evil and Ukraine will lose."
