Как выяснила ASTRA, позже в оккупированном городе по подозрению в убийстве задержали 30-летнего наемника ЧВК «Медведи» из Новосибирской области по фамилии Яценко. Он сначала нанёс местному жителю Валерию Хайдарову несколько ударов топором по голове, а затем расстрелял из автомата.
