Это были действующие военнослужащие 74 мотострелковой штурмовой бригады: 23-летний Алексей М., 24-летий Игнатий Б. и 38-летний Владимир С. Оружия при них не было.
Все трое сбежали из расположения части 18 апреля. Мужчины объяснили это тем, что опасались за свою жизнь. Военных передали пограничникам ФСБ. Их дальнейшая судьба неизвестна.
