Жителям России и некоторых регионов постсоветского пространства трудно представить, как и, главное, зачем оправдывать нацизм. У народов Востока - свое отношение и к Гитлеровской Германии, и к событиям Второй мировой войны.

Работа немецкой и британской агентур на Ближнем Востоке в 1930-1940-е гг. разделила арабский мир на два крупных лагеря - прогерманский и пробританский. Второй лагерь в итоге оказался обширнее и мощнее. Эпизоды прогерманских настроений и акций были в Ираке, Сирии, Египте.

Самый яркий пример - Палестина, где в это время разворачивалась борьба внутри местных арабских элит, и параллельно усиливался арабо-еврейский конфликт. Антиеврейская политика Берлина импонировала арабам, которые оказались в гуще конфликта.
