Идея не новая. Дело было в 1975 году. Американский копирайтер Гэри Дал сидел в компании, слушал истории о том, как сложно держать домашних животных. И пошутил, что идеальный питомец — это камень: не орёт, не гадит, мебель не портит.
Пошутил, но не забыл. Шутка превратилась в стартап. Так появились первые Pet Rocks — галька с глазками в специальной коробке-переноске и с подробной инструкцией по уходу. За пару лет Гэри заработал миллионы.
В следующий раз про каменных питомцев вспомнили в Южной Корее во время карантина. Это был способ снять стресс и выговориться хотя бы камушку.
Теперь увлечение дошло и до нас. Соцсети сделали своё дело.
