Argentina’s president, Javier Milei, hit the stage in Buenos Aires this week, decked out in leather and backed by a full band, to promote his new book. Before a crowd of 15,000, he belted out a nine-song setlist of ‘80s rock anthems — but made no mention of his country’s rising inflation or public outrage over his corruption scandals.

“I’m human,” the 54-year-old told the packed stadium. “It might not seem like it, but I am.”

The concert comes less than two weeks after Donald Trump agreed to a $20 billion U.S. bailout to rescue Milei’s struggling government.

Ticks Causing Red Meat Allergy: All About Alpha-Gal Syndrome

Alpha-gal syndrome, also called mammalian meat allergy, is an allergy to red meat and other mammalian products such as dairy. When a lone star tick bites you, its saliva can transmit a sugar molecule called alpha-gal into your blood. Because humans don’t otherwise have this sugar molecule, some people’s immune systems create antibodies against it. When the person eats red meat, those antibodies trigger an allergic reaction.

Alpha-gal syndrome causes allergic reactions such as severe digestive issues (cramping and pain, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting) and/or hives, itching, or swelling. In some cases, it can cause anaphylaxis. The level of allergic reaction varies per patient. Some have digestive issues, some react only to red meat but not dairy, and some react to both.

He then brings up the idea of altering one’s body to be allergic to all meat in order to help with our 'over consumption.' An example is given of how a tick bite can cause alpha-gal allergy [red meat allergy.]

Issued on 9.10.68, this confidential plan outlines how the U.S. Army would support civil authorities during domestic unrest. Created after the riots of the 1960s, it names the Secretary of the Army as the Defense Department’s Executive Agent and forms the Directorate for Civil Disturbance Planning and Operations to coordinate with the Justice Department and National Guard. It defines three phases: deployment, employment, and redeployment, and includes annexes on intelligence, logistics, and communications. Reflecting Cold War concerns over internal stability, it emphasizes readiness and coordination with civilian agencies. Declassified in 2009.
