Local members of Clann Éireann’s SN were active over the weekend, camping overnight in Ulster.
During the day members put up their tents and took part in kickboxing and boxing sparring as well as jiu-jitsu rolling.
As evening set, a campfire was created and the lads settled down with a barbecue, a few pints and some music. The musicians of the group took out their guitars and plenty of songs were sung, our own rebel tunes as well as some rock and metal.
The tight-knit brotherhood that is intended for all SN members was fostered greatly during the weekend. This brotherhood is very important as all members must know well that they can trust and rely on each other during any serious event, be it a physical attack or attempts at infiltration - and this is another reason why sparring together is important, as the members get to know each other's and their own, strengths and weaknesses, in terms of technique, speed, agility, power etc.
