“Australia will deploy up to 100 soldiers and a military aircraft to Europe in an effort to support Ukraine in its ongoing war with Russia.
Defence Minister Richard Marles announced the contributions at the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) leaders summit in the Netherlands on Wednesday.
At the request of NATO and Poland, Australia will deploy a Royal Australian Air Force E-7A Wedgetail aircraft in August along with 100 Australian Defence Force personnel.
Part of Operation Kudu, the deployment is designed to protect an international gateway for humanitarian and military assistance into Ukraine and will not be direct combat roles.
The deployment is expected to conclude by November and will compliment Australia's more than $1.5billion in support to Ukraine since the Russian invasion in February 2022.”

I can’t help but think of the Hemingways expression re going bankrupt also applies to going to war - Gradually, then suddenly - which is ironic given bankrupt nations are the ones that usually go to war.
Slowly but surely Australia is going to be dragged into this quagmire that has nothing to do with us.
The Ukraine war can be easily resolved by carrying out the Minsk resolution allowing Donbas to hold an election to determine its government.
I fail to see why we should support a man who was named as one of the world’s biggest money launderers whilst failing to pay pensions to people in the land he claims is his.
Yet again the double standards by the Western establishment is appalling. They are determined to escalate global tensions no matter the cost.”

But the point being is that Australia has suffered the highest decline in disposable income in the entire developed world.
A lot of people are doing it extremely tough right now and unfortunately it’s all by design.
Just breaks my heart to see what the current government is getting away with as ordinary Australians suffer,
Especially when we are one of the most resource rich countries on earth.
