Состоялась третья пресс-конференция главы Долгопрудного Романа Истомина после его назначения на эту должность. Мероприятие прошло еще 20.02.2025, но из-за прорыва на ТОСовской трубе мы отложили публикацию этого поста. Пресс-конференция началась как раз с отчета Романа Михайловича о проделанной в этом направлении работе. Он рассказал, что познакомился с собственниками ТОСа, которые находятся в Перми (Уральский завод противогололедных материалов) и они планируют развернуть кластер по производству противогололедных материалов, который не будет травить жителей.
Но для жителей очень важно дожить до тех светлых времен, когда вонь с ТОСа перестанет накрывать микрорайоны, где проживают десятки тысяч людей.

For example, WhatsApp restricted the number of times a user could forward something, and developed automated systems that detect and flag objectionable content. At the start of 2018, the company attempted to launch an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) which would enable it to enable payments (and earn the cash that comes from doing so). The initial signals were promising, especially given Telegram’s user base is already fairly crypto-savvy. It raised an initial tranche of cash – worth more than a billion dollars – to help develop the coin before opening sales to the public. Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Telegram has remained an important lifeline for both Russians and Ukrainians, as a way of staying aware of the latest news and keeping in touch with loved ones. Telegram does offer end-to-end encrypted communications through Secret Chats, but this is not the default setting. Standard conversations use the MTProto method, enabling server-client encryption but with them stored on the server for ease-of-access. This makes using Telegram across multiple devices simple, but also means that the regular Telegram chats you’re having with folks are not as secure as you may believe. Oleksandra Matviichuk, a Kyiv-based lawyer and head of the Center for Civil Liberties, called Durov’s position "very weak," and urged concrete improvements.
