На памятной церемонии в честь ветеранов соплеменных подразделений Восточной Карелии и Ингерманландии было подчеркнуто их значение в обороне Финляндии. В нём участвовали сами фронтовики и их потомки, представлявшие карельский, ингерманландский и эстонский народы. С приветственным словом выступил председатель общества по сохранению наследия АКС. Участники почтили память, возложив цветы к памятному камню. В программу вошли патриотические речи. Завершением стало совместное исполнение Карельской песни.

Itä-Karjalasten ja Inkeriläisten heimoveteraanien muistotilaisuudessa korostettiin heidän panostaan Suomen puolustuksessa. Muistotilaisuuteen osallistuivat veteraanit itse sekä heidän jälkeläisensä, jotka edustivat Karjalan, Inkerin ja Viron kansoja. AKS:n perinneyhdistyksen puheenjohtaja piti tervetulotoivotuksen. Osallistujat kunnioittivat veteraaneja laskemalla kukkia heimoveteraanien muistokivelle. Ohjelmassa oli myös isänmaallisia puheita. Tilaisuus päättyi yhteiseen Karjalaisen laulun esitykseen.

Ukrainian forces have since put up a strong resistance to the Russian troops amid the war that has left hundreds of Ukrainian civilians, including children, dead, according to the United Nations.
