حزب یا تشکل سیاسی (به فرانسوی: Political party) در سیاست سازمانی سیاسی و اجتماعی است که به دنبال موثر بودن در کشور است، این تأثیرگذاری معمولاً از طریق نامزد کردن کسانی با دیدگاههایی همسو با حزب برای کسب مسئولیتها و مناصب سیاسی صورت میپذیرد. احزاب در فعالیتهایی نظیر کارزارهای انتخاباتی، پژوهشهای آموزشی یا اعتراضهای سیاسی مشارکت میجویند. احزاب معمولاً به دنبال به کار بستن ایدئولوژی خاص یا دیدگاهی مشخص هستند که با اهدافی معین در ساختار و برنامههایشان ذکر شدهاست و باعث پدیداری افرادی با اهداف یکسان حول محور حزب میشود.
