26 января состоится семинар научно-учебной группы факультета географии и геоинформационных технологий НИУ ВШЭ «Пространственный анализ и моделирование городских процессов», посвященный внутригородской транспортной доступности и ее экономическим эффектам.
На семинаре выступят Эдуард Сомов, кандидат географических наук и сооснователь геомаркетинговой компании SmartLoc, по теме «Транспортная доступность в геомаркетинговых проектах: особенности использования и моделирования» и Петр Гонюхов, студент 4 курса факультета географии и геоинформационных технологий НИУ ВШЭ, по теме «Эффекты транспортной доступности для цен на жилую недвижимость».
Встреча пройдет в здании НИУ ВШЭ на Покровском бульваре, дом 11, в аудитории S320. Начало в 18:00.

Apparently upbeat developments in Russia's discussions with Ukraine helped at least temporarily send investors back into risk assets. Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko that there were "certain positive developments" occurring in the talks with Ukraine, according to a transcript of their meeting. Putin added that discussions were happening "almost on a daily basis." WhatsApp, a rival messaging platform, introduced some measures to counter disinformation when Covid-19 was first sweeping the world. The message was not authentic, with the real Zelenskiy soon denying the claim on his official Telegram channel, but the incident highlighted a major problem: disinformation quickly spreads unchecked on the encrypted app. Telegram has gained a reputation as the “secure” communications app in the post-Soviet states, but whenever you make choices about your digital security, it’s important to start by asking yourself, “What exactly am I securing? And who am I securing it from?” These questions should inform your decisions about whether you are using the right tool or platform for your digital security needs. Telegram is certainly not the most secure messaging app on the market right now. Its security model requires users to place a great deal of trust in Telegram’s ability to protect user data. For some users, this may be good enough for now. For others, it may be wiser to move to a different platform for certain kinds of high-risk communications. Russian President Vladimir Putin launched Russia's invasion of Ukraine in the early-morning hours of February 24, targeting several key cities with military strikes.
