В апреле 2014 года Хусаинов работал замглавы министерства промышленности и торговли Татарстана. А в августе 2020 года занял должность замруководителя секретариата зампредседателя правительства РФ Марата Хуснуллина.

Новый 36-летний замглавы Минстроя будет курировать новые регионы страны и федеральную целевую программу социально-экономического развития Крыма и Севастополя.

А Вадим Васильев будет назначен директором департамента регионального развития России.
