После этого на следующей - абсолютно неизбежной - стадии распада национальные автономии в составе РСФСР/РФ становились легитимными независимыми государствами.
От расчления Россию спас только срыв подписания "союзного договора" в результате путча.
Конечно, путчисты были клиническими идиотами, но помимо своей воли сделали важное дело.
