There's also an English-language website, which states it is owned by the people who run the Telegram channels. That hurt tech stocks. They now run it from Dubai, and Pavel Durov says it has more than 500 million monthly active users. In the past, it was noticed that through bulk SMSes, investors were induced to invest in or purchase the stocks of certain listed companies. He adds: "Telegram has become my primary news source."
