Telegram has become more interventionist over time, and has steadily increased its efforts to shut down these accounts. Many pro-Kremlin channels have become popular, alongside accounts of journalists and other independent observers. So, uh, whenever I hear about Telegram, it’s always in relation to something bad. What gives? As such, the SC would like to remind investors to always exercise caution when evaluating investment opportunities, especially those promising unrealistically high returns with little or no risk. Investors should also never deposit money into someone’s personal bank account if instructed. Telegram was founded in 2013 by two Russian brothers, Nikolai and Pavel Durov.
