фанфакт: многие неправильно представляют себе корневую систему деревьев (видимо по ошибочным картинкам из детских учебников). Корни большинства деревьев располагаются на верхних слоях почвы и идут радиально на расстояние равное высоте дерева. Это связано с тем, что корням тоже нужен кислород, который можно получить только в topsoil.
