Это вторая согласованная акция африканских студентов. Впервые они вышли с плакатами «Я/Мы Путин» и «Африка за сотрудничество с Путиным». Студенты из Африки учатся в вузах Казани с 2023 года.

После начала войны российские власти начали сотрудничать с «важными и надежными партнерами» из Африки. Путин заявил, что страны хотят построить «справедливый многополярный мир», основанный на «равенстве, верховенстве международного права, свободного от любых форм дискриминации».
