На историческом факультете 3 января прошел день открытых дверей.

Встречу открыл декан факультета Александр Кохановский. Александр Геннадьевич рассказал о специальностях, акцентировал внимание на преимуществах исторического факультета.

От представителей кафедр абитуриенты узнали, как правильно выбрать специальность, о подготовке специалистов на каждой кафедре.

О порядке поступления в 2025 году рассказал помощник ответственного секретаря приемной комиссии БГУ Дмитрий Бузун.

Завершила встречу заместитель декана Алина Веремейчик. Алина Евгеньевна рассказала о воспитательном процессе на факультете, о жилищно-бытовых условиях и социальном пакете, которым обеспечены студенты БГУ.

А для всех желающих учебная лаборатория музейного дела организовала увлекательную экскурсию по своим фондам.

"A spike in inflation rates has preceded economic recessions historically and this time prices have soared to levels that once again pose a threat to growth." One thing that Telegram now offers to all users is the ability to “disappear” messages or set remote deletion deadlines. That enables users to have much more control over how long people can access what you’re sending them. Given that Russian law enforcement officials are reportedly (via Insider) stopping people in the street and demanding to read their text messages, this could be vital to protect individuals from reprisals. Telegram does offer end-to-end encrypted communications through Secret Chats, but this is not the default setting. Standard conversations use the MTProto method, enabling server-client encryption but with them stored on the server for ease-of-access. This makes using Telegram across multiple devices simple, but also means that the regular Telegram chats you’re having with folks are not as secure as you may believe. At the start of 2018, the company attempted to launch an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) which would enable it to enable payments (and earn the cash that comes from doing so). The initial signals were promising, especially given Telegram’s user base is already fairly crypto-savvy. It raised an initial tranche of cash – worth more than a billion dollars – to help develop the coin before opening sales to the public. Unfortunately, third-party sales of coins bought in those initial fundraising rounds raised the ire of the SEC, which brought the hammer down on the whole operation. In 2020, officials ordered Telegram to pay a fine of $18.5 million and hand back much of the cash that it had raised. Telegram has gained a reputation as the “secure” communications app in the post-Soviet states, but whenever you make choices about your digital security, it’s important to start by asking yourself, “What exactly am I securing? And who am I securing it from?” These questions should inform your decisions about whether you are using the right tool or platform for your digital security needs. Telegram is certainly not the most secure messaging app on the market right now. Its security model requires users to place a great deal of trust in Telegram’s ability to protect user data. For some users, this may be good enough for now. For others, it may be wiser to move to a different platform for certain kinds of high-risk communications.
