Продолжая разговор о керамике, мы хотели махнуть с вами во французский Валлорис, что на Лазурном берегу, но решили, что это подождет, а мы лучше останемся в Северной Европе и познакомимся с Таисто Каасиненом, талантливым финским керамистом.

Каасинен известен своими работами как для шведской компании «Upsala-Ekeby», так и для финской «Arabia», к слову, также имеющей шведские корни (она была основана одним из старейших европейских производителей фарфора, компанией «Rörstrand»).

Continuing on with our studies of ceramics, we initially wanted to take you to the French town of Vallauris in Côte d'Azur, but then decided that Vallauris could wait and we’d rather stay in the North of Europe and enjoy the works of Taisto Kaasinen, an outstanding Finnish ceramist.

Kaasinen is famous for the works he produced for Upsala-Ekeby, Sweden, and Arabia, Finland. By the way, the latter also has Swedish roots as it was founded by Rörstrand, Sweden, one of the oldest porcelain manufacturers in Europe.
