🎭 Американські актори вперше прочитали щоденники українців у Вашингтоні.

30 травня в мистецькому центрі Atlas у Вашингтоні відбулася премʼєра благодійних читань Diary of War. Подію організувала культурна активістка Дарʼя Коломієць.

Режисеркою читань виступила Мьюза Гьорніс. Цього разу свої голоси українським історіям подарували зірки театральної сцени – вашингтонські актори: Голлі Твайфорд, Емілі Таунлі, Тоні Нем, Лоліта Мері Горн, Дрю Копас, Ріні Вілсон та Джеремі Кіт Гантер.

Всі виручені кошти з події у партнерстві з фондом United Help Ukraine буде спрямовано на відновлення бази «Госпітальєрів» – 25 квітня її знищила російська ракетна атака. Наразі фандрейзинг-кампанія перетнула позначку в $50,000.

But the Ukraine Crisis Media Center's Tsekhanovska points out that communications are often down in zones most affected by the war, making this sort of cross-referencing a luxury many cannot afford. What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels have become popular with on-the-ground journalists, aid workers and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who broadcasts on a Telegram channel. The channels can be followed by an unlimited number of people. Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm. The War on Fakes channel has repeatedly attempted to push conspiracies that footage from Ukraine is somehow being falsified. One post on the channel from February 24 claimed without evidence that a widely viewed photo of a Ukrainian woman injured in an airstrike in the city of Chuhuiv was doctored and that the woman was seen in a different photo days later without injuries. The post, which has over 600,000 views, also baselessly claimed that the woman's blood was actually makeup or grape juice. Perpetrators of these scams will create a public group on Telegram to promote these investment packages that are usually accompanied by fake testimonies and sometimes advertised as being Shariah-compliant. Interested investors will be asked to directly message the representatives to begin investing in the various investment packages offered. In view of this, the regulator has cautioned investors not to rely on such investment tips / advice received through social media platforms. It has also said investors should exercise utmost caution while taking investment decisions while dealing in the securities market.
