Трагедия произошла 15 июня в Бодайбинском районе. Во время сплава по реке Тельмама перевернулись два надувных катамарана.
Всего в группе было 14 человек. При прохождении одного из порогов несколько туристов оказались в воде. Тело 60-летнего мужчины обнаружили позже вблизи посёлка Мамакан — он утонул.
Возбуждено уголовное дело. Следователи устанавливают, кто и как организовал сплав, и были ли соблюдены меры безопасности.
