۱- حمله مشابه جنگ ۱۲ روزه ، هزینه های کمتری داره ،از هر جهت لذا هم در افکار عمومی جهانی ، هم در داخل آمریکا ، موجه تره.
حمله‌ی زمینی و ساقط کردن حکومت - بجز هزینه های مالی و بار حقوقی و ایجاد خوراک تبلیغاتی برای آمریکا ستیزان جهان - عواقبی مثل ایجاد هرج و مرج و جنگ داخلی و اخلال در تولید نفت و ... داره. اشغالگر ، مسئوله .
۲- آمریکا بعد شکست در خلیج خوکها ، هیچگاه در شرایطی مشابه شرایط امروز ایران ، به کشوری حمله نکرده. ژاپن و آلمان و افغانستان بهش حمله کرده بودند جنگ ویتنام و کره در حمایت از دولت دموکراتیک جنوبی بود.
تنها مورد نصفه نیمه ، ساقط کردن صدامه که اونم سابقه حمله به دو کشور همسایه داشت و مشروعیت دیکتاتور خونخوارش صفر بود . بازم حمله‌ی این جنگ‌ها همواره مورد نقد قرار گرفته و گفته شده : شاید می‌شد پیشگیری کرد که کار باونجا نکشه...
۳- حمله‌ی محدود (مثل تحریم اقتصادی) صرفا باعث واکسینه شدن حکومت ، ساکت شدن اعتراضات مردمی و بدتر شدن شرایط مردم می شه ...
