Российские военнослужащие заметили дрон противника над Рыльским районом Курской области и ликвидировали его выстрелом из ружья.
После осмотра обломков выяснилось, что военные столкнулись со Switchblade 600, тактическим барражирующим боеприпасом, разработанным американской компанией AeroVironment.
В качестве боеголовки была установлена боевая часть от американской ракеты ПТРК FGM-148 Javelin. Уточняется, что эти дроны запускают из транспортно-пускового контейнера, похожего на миномет. Оператор БПЛА управляет полетом на дальности в несколько десятков километров.
Оператор зенитного комплекса «Тор-М2» группировки «Центр» сержант Александр Иванов рассказал, что расчет машины поражает различные цели, включая разведывательные дроны и аппараты Switchblade.
