Обновлённый в 2016 году дом культуры «Рубин» претендует на звание самого гламурного здания России, настолько он вызывающе-розовый. Его история довольно тяжёлая, так что он точно может позволить себе выглядеть как хочет.

Впервые Дом культуры на этом месте появился в 1981 году. С 2006 года он стоял заброшенным и несколько раз переходил из рук в руки. К нынешнему дизайну здания архитектор Михаил Отставной подошёл довольно радикально. Раз уж комплекс именуется «Рубином», то и цвет у него должен быть соответствующий: назвался горшком — полезай в печь! В центре композиции — стеклянный цилиндр, который, видимо, у кого-то ассоциируется с рубином, но нам больше напоминает стакан.
