На Уссурийском бульваре между улицами Дзержинского и Волочаевская в Хабаровске открыли бюст Ф.Э. Дзержинскому. Событие приурочено ко дню создания Всероссийской чрезвычайной комиссии по борьбе с контрреволюцией и саботажем при Совете народных комиссаров РСФСР – 7 (20) декабря 1917 года.

Под бюстом установлена табличка с цитатой Дзержинского, которая гласит: «В каких бы трудных условиях вам ни пришлось жить, не падайте духом, ибо вера в свою силу и желание жить для других – это огромная сила».

Apparently upbeat developments in Russia's discussions with Ukraine helped at least temporarily send investors back into risk assets. Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko that there were "certain positive developments" occurring in the talks with Ukraine, according to a transcript of their meeting. Putin added that discussions were happening "almost on a daily basis." And indeed, volatility has been a hallmark of the market environment so far in 2022, with the S&P 500 still down more than 10% for the year-to-date after first sliding into a correction last month. The CBOE Volatility Index, or VIX, has held at a lofty level of more than 30. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 230 points, or 0.7%. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 1.3% and 2.2%, respectively. All three indexes began the day with gains before selling off. At the start of 2018, the company attempted to launch an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) which would enable it to enable payments (and earn the cash that comes from doing so). The initial signals were promising, especially given Telegram’s user base is already fairly crypto-savvy. It raised an initial tranche of cash – worth more than a billion dollars – to help develop the coin before opening sales to the public. Unfortunately, third-party sales of coins bought in those initial fundraising rounds raised the ire of the SEC, which brought the hammer down on the whole operation.
