Ambasadorului i-a fost exprimat protestul în legătură cu organizarea alegerilor prezidențiale din Federația Rusă pe teritoriul regiunii transnistrene a Republicii Moldova contrar poziției autorităților moldovenești.
În acest context, ambasadorului Federației Ruse i-a fost înmînată nota prin care un colaborator al Ambasadei a fost declarat persoană indezirabilă (non grata) pe teritoriul Republicii Moldova și urmează să părăsească țara.

В этом контексте, послу была вручена нота о том, что один из сотрудников посольства был объявлен персоной нон грата на территории Республики Молдова и должен покинуть страну.

On December 23rd, 2020, Pavel Durov posted to his channel that the company would need to start generating revenue. In early 2021, he added that any advertising on the platform would not use user data for targeting, and that it would be focused on “large one-to-many channels.” He pledged that ads would be “non-intrusive” and that most users would simply not notice any change. The regulator said it had received information that messages containing stock tips and other investment advice with respect to selected listed companies are being widely circulated through websites and social media platforms such as Telegram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram. The gold standard of encryption, known as end-to-end encryption, where only the sender and person who receives the message are able to see it, is available on Telegram only when the Secret Chat function is enabled. Voice and video calls are also completely encrypted. These entities are reportedly operating nine Telegram channels with more than five million subscribers to whom they were making recommendations on selected listed scrips. Such recommendations induced the investors to deal in the said scrips, thereby creating artificial volume and price rise. For Oleksandra Tsekhanovska, head of the Hybrid Warfare Analytical Group at the Kyiv-based Ukraine Crisis Media Center, the effects are both near- and far-reaching.
