🌟 Weekly Self-Engineering Practice: Focus on Action

This week, start a new practice: complete focus on a single action—walking.

The goal is to reconnect with the present moment by observing your foot as you walk.

The 3 Steps to Practice:

1. Lifting: Slowly lift your foot. Notice the sequence: toes, ball, then heel leaving the ground.

2. Shifting: Feel the full weight and pressure shift onto your stationary foot.

3. Landing: As your foot comes down, notice your heel touching first, followed by the rest of your foot gently resting on the floor.

Try this for just 30-60 seconds as you walk. (Barefoot works best!)

Why this helps your well-being:

* Reduces Stress
* Improves Focus
* Strengthens Mind-Body Connection

The 60-Second "Kindness Camera" Practice
This is designed to actively practice love by focusing on the positive essence in others.

The Practice:
Select a Subject (5 seconds): Choose one person you see today—it can be a stranger on the street, a co-worker in a meeting, or a family member.

Focus on Humanity (40 seconds):

👉Look at the person and imagine that they, like you, just want to be happy. They have hopes, dreams, and struggles. Set aside any critique or judgment. Focus your attention on the single quality you can honestly appreciate or be curious about (e.g., their bright smile, their patience while waiting, the colorful choice of their jacket).

Send a Wish (15 seconds): Silently repeat a simple phrase to them, such as:

"May you be well."

"May you know peace."

"May you be happy."

(You are simply wishing them well; no action or verbal communication is required )
