'ሽቱ መቀቢያው ወይም ማረፊያው የት ነው?' ቢባል ምላሹ፣ 'ከላይ' ይሆናል። እግር ላይ ሽቱ አይነሰንሱም፣ ይቅርና ማፍሰስ። ማርያም ግን ለየት ያለ ነገር አደረገች፤ "ዋጋው ውድ የሆነ፣ ግማሽ ሊትር ንጹሕ የናርዶስ ሽቱ አምጥታ በኢየሱስ እግር ላይ አፈሰሰች፤ እግሩንም በጠጕሯ አበሰች፤ ቤቱንም የሽቱው መዓዛ ሞላው" (ዮሐ 12፥3)። ለርሷ የተገባው አካሉ እግሩ እንደ ሆነ ስለገባት፣ ውድ ሽቱውን እግሩ ላይ አፈሰሰችው። የርሷ መገኛ እግሩ ሥር ከሆነ፣ ስጦታዋም እዚያው ነው የሚያርፈው። ነገሩ ለአንዳንዶች ማባከን ቢመስልም፣ ለርሷ ግን ክቡር የሀብት አጠቃቀም ነው፤ ውዱን ንብረት ታላቁ ጌታ ላይ አውላለችና። ከዚህስ የተሻለ ምን 'ኢንቨስትመንት' ይኖራል!
