После успешных выборов в заксобрание Иркутской области еще в 2018 году (тогда коммунисты прошли по спискам и победили в девяти одномандатных округах из 22, как и «Единая Россия»), наблюдается только падение показателей.
Так, в 2021 году на выборах в Госдуму региона победила «Единая Россия» (с результатом в 35,53% против 27,81% у КПРФ), как, впрочем, и в 2023-м на выборах в заксобрание, когда единороссы одержали верх с 54,6% по спискам (у коммунистов 15,47% и ни единой победы в округах).
