Всего, по данным Transparency International, 497 из 705 депутатов Европарламента задекларировали дополнительные доходы, но только 12 из них получали больше дохода от дополнительной деятельности, чем от депутатской зарплаты, которая составляет чуть больше 7,8 тыс. евро после вычета налогов.
Самым богатым депутатом оказался Виктор Успасских из Литвы. Он ежегодно получает 3 млн евро дополнительного дохода от своей связи с компанией Edvervita. Это треть всех дополнительных доходов всех евродепутатов.
Интересно, что в прошлом созыве Европарламента второе место в рейтинге самых богатых парламентариев занимал также депутат из Литвы, но уже другой - профессиональный игрок в покер Антанас Гуога.
