Усольцевы планировали провести выходные в районе «Минской петли» — живописного лесного массива примерно в 200 км от Красноярска. Несмотря на ухудшение погоды и отказ других участников похода, Усольцевы решили отправиться к скальникам самостоятельно, без проводника. Через несколько часов начался дождь, после чего связь с семьёй пропала.
Усольцевых ищут уже больше 200 человек, с первого дня подключили дроны и вертолёты. Участники поисков просят помощи: требуются топливо, питьевая вода, продукты, квадроциклы, мотоциклы-эндуро.
