More than 9,000 Palestinian children were hospitalized for severe acute malnutrition in Gaza in October, according to UNICEF, despite a ceasefire announced on October 10.

The UN says Israeli restrictions continue to choke humanitarian access, with aid deliveries falling far below lifesaving needs. Around 8,300 pregnant and breastfeeding women were also treated for malnutrition, raising alarms over a surge in low-birth-weight babies.
