Рост цен по сравнению с закрытием предыдущей торговой сессией был вызван в том числе обнаружением утечки топлива на подводном трубопроводе Balticconnector, по которому газ поступает из Эстонии в Финляндию.
Давление в трубе резко упало в ночь на 8 октября, после чего клапаны трубопровода перекрыли.
