Continuing on with our studies of ceramics, we initially wanted to take you to the French town of Vallauris in Côte d'Azur, but then decided that Vallauris could wait and we’d rather stay in the North of Europe and enjoy the works of Taisto Kaasinen, an outstanding Finnish ceramist.
Kaasinen is famous for the works he produced for Upsala-Ekeby, Sweden, and Arabia, Finland. By the way, the latter also has Swedish roots as it was founded by Rörstrand, Sweden, one of the oldest porcelain manufacturers in Europe.

It is unclear who runs the account, although Russia's official Ministry of Foreign Affairs Twitter account promoted the Telegram channel on Saturday and claimed it was operated by "a group of experts & journalists." So, uh, whenever I hear about Telegram, it’s always in relation to something bad. What gives? But Kliuchnikov, the Ukranian now in France, said he will use Signal or WhatsApp for sensitive conversations, but questions around privacy on Telegram do not give him pause when it comes to sharing information about the war. Despite Telegram's origins, its approach to users' security has privacy advocates worried. Given the pro-privacy stance of the platform, it’s taken as a given that it’ll be used for a number of reasons, not all of them good. And Telegram has been attached to a fair few scandals related to terrorism, sexual exploitation and crime. Back in 2015, Vox described Telegram as “ISIS’ app of choice,” saying that the platform’s real use is the ability to use channels to distribute material to large groups at once. Telegram has acted to remove public channels affiliated with terrorism, but Pavel Durov reiterated that he had no business snooping on private conversations.
