Полиция начала проверку 18 августа. 21 августа после появления сообщений об избиении Никиты Журавеля СК получил обращение с требованием проверить сотрудников СИЗО.
Автор обращения заявил о бездействии силовиков и намерении обратиться в ФСБ.
