In diesen 2 Jahren bekam sie Thrombosen in den Beinen und in der Lunge, war von der Hüfte ab gelähmt, Milz und Magen wurden entfernt, nahm 70 lbs ab und sie wurde 4 Mal wiederbelebt. Dafür stellten ihr Krankenhäuser 7,5 Millionen Dollar in Rechnung. Die Krankenversicherung übernahm den größten Teil trotzdem reichte die Differenz aus, um die Hinterbliebenen finanziell zu ruinieren.
