Несколько прихожанок пытались им помешать, за что тут же поплатились: одной девушке палкой разбили голову. Чуть позже бандитов выгнали из храма.
Однако то, что увидели верующие в алтаре – шокировало. Разбросанные священнические одежды на полу, оскверненный жертвенник, разгромленная пономарка. По поведению в святыне было очевидно, что люди, временно захватившие храм – не христиане, а безбожники. Каким же было удивление прихожан Николаевского храма, когда выяснилось, что руководил бандой наемников клирик ПЦУ Роман Грищук.
