Confirming the rumours coming from both sides in the last few days Russian news outlet Mash stated that Russian troops have covertly landed on "Quarantine Island" an industrial hub in Kherson connected by bridges to the mainland.

Opsec is high but According to Mash, the operation started on the night of October 14. Several dozen fighters crossed the Dnipro and took positions on the island. The goal is to destroy command posts, drone control stations, and adjust artillery fire. For cover, the "Tirada-2S" system was used, which disabled Ukrainian communications — satellite terminals within a radius of several kilometers.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to regain control — reinforcements began to be transferred over the last intact railway bridge.
